  • The Manual Rule: To keep messages free ($0), they must be typed and sent manually from the WhatsApp Business App on your phone
  • No Templates on Phone: You cannot send nashir.ai Marketing Templates from the mobile app — only normal free-form messages
  • 14-Day Check-in: Meta requires you to open the WhatsApp Business App on your phone at least once every 14 days to keep the nashir.ai connection active
  • Mobile Only: Coexistence works on the mobile app. WhatsApp for Windows and WhatsApp for Mac desktop apps are not supported by Meta for coexistence — use your phone or the nashir.ai web dashboard

  • Customer must have opted in before receiving any marketing message

⚠️ One rule to know before sending campaigns

Meta protects users from receiving too many marketing messages. Each WhatsApp user can receive a maximum of approximately 2 marketing template messages per day — across ALL businesses combined, not just yours.

  • If your contact already received 2 promotional messages from other businesses today, your message may not be delivered
  • You will see this reflected in your campaign delivery stats in nashir.ai
  • This does NOT affect replies within the 24h service window

Messages from your phone don't count toward any limit

Messages sent directly from the WhatsApp Business App on your phone are:

  • Completely free
  • NOT counted toward your daily limit

⚠️ Technical Warning for n8n users

  • !If you connect WhatsApp using a standard developer API setup, you must delete the WhatsApp app from your phone — you lose Coexistence. If you use nashir.ai's Embedded Signup method (which powers n8n-nodes-nashir), you keep your phone app, all personal chats stay free, and you only pay Meta's raw cost when the automation starts a new conversation.

Will connecting to nashir.ai affect my existing WhatsApp conversations?
No. WhatsApp Coexistence means your phone works exactly as before. Your chat history, contacts, and starred messages are untouched.
If I send a message from my phone, does it count toward my Meta bill?
No. Messages sent from the mobile app are processed by Meta as standard app messages and are 100% free.
Can I see my old chats inside nashir.ai?
Yes. When you connect via nashir.ai, we sync up to the last 6 months of your 1:1 chat history so your AI and team have full context.
Can I still make voice and video calls?
Yes. You continue to use the mobile app for all calls. Calling is not supported via the API, so your phone remains your hub for calls.
Do I need a credit card for WhatsApp messages?
Only if you send broadcast campaigns (marketing templates). Receiving and replying to customer messages is completely free.
Who pays Meta for the messages?
You pay Meta directly via your WhatsApp Business Account billing. nashir.ai has zero involvement in that billing and charges no markup.
What if a customer messages me — is that free?
Yes. All customer-initiated conversations are completely free with no monthly limit (Meta removed the 1,000 free conversation cap in November 2024).
Can I send "Hello, we have an offer" to a new customer?
From your mobile app — yes, freely, at no cost. Via nashir.ai campaigns — you need a Meta-approved marketing template and the customer must have opted in first.
What is a BSP fee and does nashir.ai charge it?
