Team members, roles, and invitations

Nashir lets you bring teammates into your workspace so more than one person can manage your social accounts, chatbot, and inbox. One person can belong to several teams at once.

Workspaces (teams)

Your account starts with its own workspace. You can also be invited into other people's workspaces, so you may belong to several at once. Each workspace has its own connected accounts, chatbot, inbox, and plan.

How to invite a teammate

  1. Go to Settings → Team.
  2. Enter the teammate's email address and send the invitation. New teammates join as Members.
  3. Team members are part of your paid plan: the Free plan includes 1 member (the owner only), Starter includes up to 5, and Pro up to 15. When you've used all your seats, you'll be prompted to upgrade before inviting more.

Invitations are sent to a real email address. If the address has a typo in the domain (for example "gmail.con" or a domain that doesn't exist), Nashir will ask you to correct it.

Where the invitation arrives and how to accept it

The invitation is sent by email with an "Accept invitation" button.

  • If your teammate does NOT have a Nashir account yet: the button opens the sign-up page with their email already filled in. As soon as they create their account, they join your team automatically.
  • If your teammate ALREADY has a Nashir account: the button takes them to the accept page. If they're signed in with the invited email, they join the team immediately. If they're signed in with a different account, Nashir tells them the invitation was for another address and offers to sign out so they can accept with the right one.

Working in more than one team — the workspace switcher

A new teammate who didn't have an account lands directly in the team that invited them. Someone who already had their own workspace stays in it and gains access to the new one too — they can move between workspaces using the workspace switcher at the top-left of the sidebar. Switching changes the whole app — sidebar, businesses, inbox, and data all follow the selected workspace, and the choice is remembered on your next visit.

Owner vs Member

These roles are enforced — not just a label.

  • Owner — manages the workspace. Owners can: invite and remove members, change a member's role (promote to Owner or demote to Member), manage billing and the plan, connect and disconnect social accounts (and move accounts between businesses), and delete a business.
  • Member — collaborates on the day-to-day work: creating and scheduling posts, the chatbot, the inbox, the knowledge base, and the catalog.

Both owners and members share the same workspace, its plan, and its connected accounts. Only the listed owner actions are restricted; everything operational is open to members.

Managing and removing members

Open Settings → Team to see everyone in your workspace and their roles. An owner can remove a member from there. A workspace always keeps at least one owner — the last owner can't be removed.

Changing roles and transferring ownership

An owner can change any member's role from Settings → Team — promote a Member to Owner, or demote an Owner to Member. A team always keeps at least one owner, so the last owner can't be demoted. To transfer ownership, promote the other person to Owner first, then demote yourself to Member.

Managing your own account

Go to Settings to update your name, change your email (you'll re-verify the new address), or change your password. You can delete your account from your account settings; deletion is confirmed by an email link.

Current limits

A few things aren't available yet — contact support if you need them:

  • Leaving a team on your own isn't available yet (an owner can remove you).
  • Invitations don't expire on their own. An owner can cancel a pending invitation from Settings → Team to free up a seat.
