WhatsApp won't connect — fix connection errors

If your WhatsApp number won't connect — the connect button fails, or Meta shows an error — the cause is almost always on Meta's side during the embedded signup, not nashir. These are fixes a real customer used to get past each error. Following them clears Meta's reason for blocking; it does not by itself guarantee the number can be connected, because some countries and numbers are not yet supported (see the bottom of this article).

The full step-by-step guide, in English and Arabic, with the fallback for each error if a setting is hidden, lives here: /whatsapp-connect-help

The three errors customers hit most:

  • "Automated labels" — error #3441061. Your number has automated Labels turned on in the WhatsApp Business app. Turn them off (Account → Labels), then retry. If the setting is hidden, update the app or contact Meta Business Support quoting the error code.
  • "Already registered" — error #3441049. The number is still linked to another tool (Meta Business Suite / INBOX, or another provider). Unlink it first (Settings → Account → Business Platform → Unlink), wait about 15 minutes, then retry. Do not uninstall the app to unlink.
  • "code is required." Meta's popup didn't finish — a popup or cookie blocker stopped it, or it was closed too early. Allow popups and cookies, try a different browser, and complete the Meta window fully.

If none of these apply, the number may be in a country this connection method does not support yet, or it was recently on another WhatsApp API provider and needs a short cooldown before it can move. Contact nashir support and we will check your specific number and country.
